A small town with three busy edges

Villa Park is compact. About 22,300 people lived there at the 2020 census, in a village that sits in eastern DuPage County between North Avenue (IL-64) on the north and Roosevelt Road (IL-38) on the south, just west of Kingery Highway (IL-83). Between those borders it is mostly neighborhood streets, and the commercial life runs along a handful of corridors that the village itself has spent years trying to strengthen.

Village budget documents name Roosevelt Road, North Avenue and St. Charles Road as the business corridors to watch, along with the Villa Avenue area and the shopping centers at North Park Plaza and Garden Station. The village set up a tax increment financing district for North Avenue and, in February 2024, approved a new one for the St. Charles Road corridor. For a business owner, that is a useful map of where traffic and new activity are concentrated.

How each corridor sees your vehicle

  • Roosevelt Road

Roosevelt forms the southern border and is a state route (IL-38) that keeps going well past the village in both directions, so plenty of the people beside you at a light are not from Villa Park at all. Treat it like a through route. A vehicle here needs to be identified in a glance: business name, trade, and a color someone can recognize the next time.

  • North Avenue

North Avenue (IL-64) on the north edge works the same way and leads east into Elmhurst, where it meets I-290. That direct link to the expressway means a vehicle on North Avenue is seen by neighbors running errands and by drivers heading for the highway on the same trip.

  • St. Charles Road and downtown

St. Charles Road crosses the middle of town, and it is the corridor where Villa Park's downtown sits. The village's commercial center is around Ardmore Avenue and St. Charles Road, a few blocks south of the Metra Union Pacific West station at 349 N. Ardmore Avenue. Much of that downtown was originally built by Ovaltine, whose former factory is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has since become loft apartments. Parked on St. Charles or Ardmore, a vehicle is read by pedestrians and by drivers waiting at lights, so this is where a phone number, website and short service list earn their place.

Where the work actually happens: in driveways

Because Villa Park is mostly residential, a lot of local business happens at the curb. Remodeling crews, roofers, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, cleaning services and handymen spend hours parked in front of homes, and the neighbors who walk past are the most likely next customers. On streets near the Metra station, morning commuters walk past the same parked trucks day after day. The Illinois Prairie Path, built on the old Chicago Aurora and Elgin Railroad right-of-way, and the Great Western Trail both run through the village, so people on foot and on bikes see your vehicle too.

That shapes the design. Slow, close viewers will read more than a highway driver will, so you can include two or three specific services and a reason to call, such as "Bathroom and basement remodeling" rather than just "Construction." Make the rear doors do the heavy lifting with a large phone number and a short web address, because that is the side people stand behind. Anyone who keeps the work truck in their own driveway should also confirm with the village, or an HOA if there is one, that commercial lettering is allowed there overnight.

A pickup that mostly hauls materials may only need spot graphics or a partial wrap with your logo and contact details. A van that sits in front of customers' homes all day is a stronger candidate for more coverage. Our pickup truck wrap page shows common layouts for contractors who drive trucks rather than vans.

Getting to the Itasca shop

Downtown Villa Park sits about 7.2 miles south of 1337 E Industrial Dr. The straightest route is north on Villa Avenue, which continues as Wood Dale Road through Addison, then west on Irving Park Road (IL-19) and north on Prospect Avenue to Industrial Drive. Without traffic it takes about 14 minutes.

We design, print, laminate and install in that one building, and nothing is installed on the street or in a driveway. Here is how a Villa Park job usually runs: you send photos and your vehicle's year, make and model; we return a written quote within 24 hours; you review a free design mockup before you pay. Once you sign off on the design, printing and lamination take 3 to 5 business days, and the install itself is usually a one-day job.

On the materials side, we print on 3M and Avery premium cast film, which normally lasts 5 to 7 years, and we stand behind the installation with a 5-year workmanship warranty. If your truck has old, cracked lettering on it, we can remove that first; wrap removal starts at $800.

Vehicle Wrap Questions From Villa Park Businesses

Ask us anything else: 847-637-0009.

What is the easiest way to get from Villa Park to your shop?

Head north on Villa Avenue, which turns into Wood Dale Road as you pass through Addison. Turn left on Irving Park Road (IL-19), then right on Prospect Avenue to Industrial Drive in Itasca. The shop is at 1337 E Industrial Dr, about 7.2 miles from downtown Villa Park and roughly 14 minutes without traffic.

I do most of my work in Villa Park neighborhoods. What should the wrap focus on?

Readability up close. Your vehicle sits in front of homes for hours, and neighbors, Metra commuters and people on the Prairie Path walk right past it. That gives you room for two or three specific services and a reason to call. Put a large phone number and short web address on the rear doors, since that is where people stand.

Is a full wrap necessary for a pickup on Roosevelt Road or North Avenue?

Often not. On busy corridors, drivers only need to catch your name, trade and colors, which spot graphics or a partial wrap can deliver. A full wrap makes more sense for a van that doubles as your storefront in customers' driveways. We will show you both options in a free mockup before you spend anything.

How many days will my Villa Park truck be off the road?

Usually one day. You keep driving while we design and print. Printing wraps up 3 to 5 business days after your sign-off, and only then do you bring the truck to Itasca for an install that takes one day in most cases.

Can you take off old lettering before wrapping my truck?

Yes. Old cut-vinyl lettering on contractor trucks is common, and it comes off in our shop the same visit, right before the new graphics go on. Removal starts at $800. A couple of photos of the existing lettering is enough for us to add it to your written quote.

What does the warranty cover?

Our workmanship is warrantied for 5 years on every install. We use premium cast films from 3M and Avery, which typically last 5 to 7 years depending on sun exposure, storage and how the vehicle is washed. Hand washing and garage parking both help a wrap reach the long end of that range.
