A business park the size of a small town

Most of what makes Elk Grove Village different for a wrap is its business park. It is billed as the largest consolidated business park in North America: about 5.9 square miles along the western edge of O'Hare, with nearly 3,600 businesses and close to 100,000 people working there. The village markets it under the slogan "Makers Wanted," and it is described as having the largest concentration of manufacturers in the Midwest and of logistics freight companies in the country.

That changes who sees your vehicle. On a residential street, a wrap talks to homeowners. In the Elk Grove park, the people reading the side of your truck are shipping managers, plant supervisors, purchasing staff and other drivers waiting at the next dock. They buy from suppliers, subcontractors and service companies, and a clean, legible truck parked at their door is a sales call that costs nothing.

What that means for the design

Business-to-business vehicles here need less decoration and more information. Lead with the company name and one plain line that says what you make or do: precision machining, freight forwarding, industrial electrical, forklift repair. Put the phone number and website where they can be read from a loading dock, and leave space for any required markings such as USDOT numbers so nothing has to be squeezed in later. If you are not sure what your trucks need to display, check with your insurer or a compliance advisor before the design is finalized.

The roads that move the park

Elk Grove Village sits in both Cook and DuPage counties and is served by I-90, the I-290/IL-53 corridor and the IL-390 Elgin-O'Hare Tollway, which passes through the village on its way toward O'Hare. Inside town, Illinois Route 83 follows Busse Road, Oakton Street and Elmhurst Road, and Higgins Road (IL-72) crosses the north side of town. Devon Avenue comes west from Chicago past O'Hare and continues through the village. Pace Route 223 links the village to the Rosemont CTA station.

Those roads carry a steady stream of trucks all day, so a wrapped vehicle is seen in short, repeated bursts: at a light on Busse Road, on the ramp to the tollway, in the line at a receiving dock. Repetition is what makes a brand stick, which is why consistent colors and layout across every vehicle in a fleet matter more here than a clever one-off design.

Elk Grove Technology Park and the data-center cluster

The former Busse Farm, the last undeveloped farmland in the village, was sold in 2018 to become the Elk Grove Technology Park, about 85 acres between Higgins Road and Oakton Street planned for data centers and advanced manufacturing. In 2021 the village board also approved selling land along its Busse Road corridor for a large data-center campus. Facilities like these bring a steady flow of electrical, mechanical, fiber and security contractors, and their vans sit in the same lots every day. A wrap that reads as organized and professional fits that setting.

Who drives here, and what they drive

The village's largest employers include Alexian Brothers Medical Center, ADP, Ecolab, Seko Logistics and SigmaTron International. Around them are thousands of smaller companies: manufacturers of every size, freight forwarders and logistics firms working the airport, and the trades that maintain all of those buildings. In practice that means three vehicle types:

  • Box trucks and straight trucks making local deliveries between the park and customers across the region. Box trucks are priced on request.
  • Cargo vans for service techs, couriers and maintenance crews.
  • Pickups for sales reps, estimators and supervisors who move between sites.

Outside the park, Elk Grove is a residential town too, best known for the small elk herd kept at the grove in Busse Woods that gives the village its name. A home-service van parked on a village street on a Saturday reaches a different audience than it does at a dock on Tuesday, and the same design should work for both.

From the park to our bay in Itasca

Our shop at 1337 E Industrial Dr in Itasca is about 4.1 miles from the middle of Elk Grove Village, roughly 8 minutes without traffic. From the center of the village, head west on Devon Avenue and south on Arlington Heights Road, which becomes Prospect Avenue as it enters Itasca, then turn onto Industrial Drive. That is short enough for one driver to drop a truck off and get a ride back before the shift is over.

Nothing has to leave your lot until the design is settled. The written quote arrives within a day of your request, and the mockup is free. Printing and lamination take 3 to 5 business days from approval, and installation usually takes a single day. We work with one install bay, so a fleet is wrapped truck by truck while the rest stay on their routes. The fleet discount scales with the order, from 3% on two vehicles to 12% once you pass 25.

Vehicle Wrap Questions From Elk Grove Village Businesses

Ask us anything else: 847-637-0009.

How far is your shop from the Elk Grove Village business park?

1337 E Industrial Dr in Itasca sits about 4.1 miles from the center of Elk Grove Village, roughly 8 minutes without traffic, by way of Devon Avenue and Arlington Heights Road. Most installs take one day, so a driver can drop a vehicle off and pick it up the next day without losing much time.

Can you wrap a whole fleet without taking all our trucks off the road?

Yes. With one install bay, we book your trucks in sequence, usually one per day, and the others keep working. Bigger orders earn bigger discounts, starting at 3% for a couple of vehicles and stepping up through 7% and 10% to 12% once the fleet reaches 25.

Do you wrap box trucks for Elk Grove distributors and manufacturers?

We do. Because body lengths and door setups differ from truck to truck, box truck pricing is done on request rather than from a list. Share the make, model and box dimensions and a written price comes back within 24 hours. A free mockup follows, laid out on your actual truck, and you pay only after you approve it.

Our trucks need USDOT numbers. Can those go into the wrap?

Yes, we can design around any lettering your vehicles need, so it looks like part of the layout instead of an afterthought. We do not give regulatory advice, so please confirm exactly which markings your trucks require with your insurer or compliance advisor, and send us the wording before we finalize the mockup.

What vinyl do you use, and how long will it last?

Every print goes on 3M or Avery premium cast film and gets laminated in-house; expect 5 to 7 years of film life, with a 5-year warranty on our workmanship. A truck that spends its days at loading docks takes more knocks, so regular washing and fixing scrapes early help the wrap last.

How long does the whole process take?

Quotes go out in writing within 24 hours, and the design mockup is free and comes before payment. Production runs 3 to 5 business days after you sign off, and the typical install is finished in a day. Tell us about any delivery deadlines or shutdown weeks at your plant, and we will plan the drop-off around them.
